A Chinese business delegation, led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), arrived in the US on Sunday for a six-day visit to several cities. This visit marks the first such delegation to the US following the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It also comes as a reciprocal gesture after a group of US senior executives, led by the US-China Business Council (USCBC), completed their visit to China on July 23.
The mutual visits are significant for both Chinese and American businesses, as they seek to understand each other’s market dynamics and potential changes post-plenary. The Chinese delegation aims to discuss new opening-up measures with US companies and strengthen supply chain relationships. They are set to meet with representatives from major companies like Corning Inc, Pfizer, Cargill, and Starbucks, and visit institutions including the UN Global Compact and the US Chamber of Commerce.
These exchanges reflect a mutual commitment to enhancing economic ties and fostering bilateral cooperation. They also provide a platform for both sides to address any market changes and expand practical economic and trade collaborations. Analysts believe such interactions are crucial for promoting global stability and advancing win-win cooperation despite existing political challenges.
