Etihad Cargo and SF Airlines Partner to Enhance UAE-China Trade

Etihad Cargo and SF Airlines have announced a groundbreaking joint venture aimed at enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and China. This collaboration seeks to improve global logistics and connectivity by leveraging the strengths of both airlines to provide a unified logistics solution. The focus will be on increasing capacity, improving transit times, and expanding connectivity to new destinations.

The airlines have already established a beneficial relationship by sharing capacity to optimize global trade routes. This new joint venture takes their collaboration to new heights, with key features including increased aircraft capacity, enhanced transit times, and an interconnected network that expands SF Express’s international express services. These improvements will allow SF Airlines to offer greater flexibility and faster connections to Europe.

Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, chairman of Etihad Airways, emphasized the significance of this partnership in strengthening ties between the UAE and China. The initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global logistics hub, contributing to economic growth in both regions. The next phase will involve finalizing the scope of collaboration, with updates expected soon as both airlines work towards a definitive agreement. This joint venture promises to set new industry standards in air cargo logistics.
