FIRJAN Advocates Strengthening Nigeria-Brazil Business Relations for Growth

During the discussion, it was noted that a cargo ship traveling from Brazil to Nigeria takes only 15 days, while a ship from China requires 32 days. This significant time advantage highlights the potential benefits of strengthening the trade relationship between Nigeria and Brazil. The shorter shipping time could lead to faster and more efficient trade, making Brazil an attractive partner for Nigerian businesses.

The event also featured high-profile attendees, including Adegboyega Oyetola, the Federal Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State. The Brazilian Consul General in Lagos, Ambassador Miguel Franco, was present, alongside representatives from various foreign embassies in Nigeria and key industry leaders.

Their participation underscores the importance of the growing economic ties and the mutual benefits that can be derived from enhanced collaboration between the two countries. The event provided a platform for discussing opportunities and fostering partnerships that could drive future growth and economic development in both nations.
