Freepoint Expands Recycling Operations with New German Office

Freepoint Eco-Systems International Ltd. (Freepoint Eco-Systems) has announced the opening of a new office in Dusseldorf, Germany, as part of its expansion strategy in Northwestern Europe. This new office, which began operations on September 1, 2024, marks a significant step in Freepoint Eco-Systems' efforts to strengthen its presence in Germany, the largest plastic recycling market in Europe. The Düsseldorf office will play a crucial role in supporting the company's customers and partners across the region.

The establishment of the Dusseldorf office follows Freepoint Eco-Systems' recent activities in Europe, including a long-term concession agreement with North Sea Port to develop a major advanced recycling facility in Ghent, Belgium. This facility is set to divert 80,000 metric tons of waste plastic annually from incineration, recycling it into new plastic products and packaging. Additionally, Freepoint Eco-Systems is working with Renewi to build a waste plastic sorting and treatment infrastructure to support the Belgium facility's operations.

The Dusseldorf office represents a key milestone in Freepoint Eco-Systems' international growth strategy, reinforcing its position as a leader in the circular economy for plastics. The new office will enhance plastic waste trading activities, forge important partnerships, and secure feedstock for Freepoint Eco-Systems' advanced recycling facilities throughout Europe. The Dusseldorf office will complement existing European offices in London, Zug, and Geneva, focusing solely on advanced recycling initiatives.
