Mrs. Gayle Benson embarks on a 10-day journey to Rome and Germany, engaging in discussions with various groups to foster investment and tourism in New Orleans. In Rome, she met with members of the Papal Foundation, sharing her vision for revitalizing the iconic St. Louis Cathedral and presenting Pope Francis with a Saints jersey during a personal audience. Additionally, she engaged Italian leaders  economic development and tourism have to  promote business ventures at Louisiana.

Transitioning to Germany, Mrs. Benson participates in Mercedes-Benz global meetings in Stuttgart and holds meetings with key figures in foreign trade and economic affairs, including Gunther Schmid and Ministry staff. Reflecting on her trip, Mrs. Benson expresses enthusiasm for the positive reception in both Rome and Germany, highlighting the eagerness to support the cathedral's restoration and the strong interest in business connections with Louisiana.

She underscores the value of leveraging this opportunity to bolster the state's economy, encourage business growth, and showcase Louisiana's vibrant tourism industry. With a focus on fostering partnerships and advancing economic development initiatives, Mrs. Benson's trip serves as a catalyst for promoting Louisiana's opportunities on an international stage.
