HCLTech, the Indian IT consulting giant, is set to launch an AI/Cloud Native Lab in Singapore in collaboration with the Singapore Economic Development Board. This strategic partnership marks HCLTech's fifth lab worldwide, following successful establishments in the U.S., UK, Germany, and India. The new lab aims to empower businesses in Singapore by enhancing their AI initiatives and facilitating innovation.
Scheduled to open next year, the Singapore lab will also collaborate with Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic to develop local talent, ensuring that the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills for the evolving digital landscape. The partnership reflects HCLTech's commitment to fostering innovation and driving technological advancement within the region.
The announcement was made by HCLTech Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Digital Development and Information of Singapore and the Singapore Economic Development Board. Vijay Guntur, HCLTech's Chief Technology Officer and Head of Ecosystems, expressed enthusiasm about the new facility. He emphasized that the lab will serve as a collaborative hub for enterprises aiming to develop AI-driven efficiencies and new business capabilities.
Guntur highlighted the lab's role in creating pragmatic skilling roadmaps and enhancing organizational competitive advantage. This initiative is expected to significantly bolster Singapore's position as a regional hub for AI innovation, making it an attractive destination for businesses looking to leverage advanced technologies. As HCLTech continues to expand its global footprint, this new lab is poised to be a key player in shaping the future of AI and cloud-native solutions in Singapore
