HondaJet Echelon Sales Drive Lider's Growth in Brazil Market

Lider Aviation is showcasing the HondaJet Elite II and the larger Echelon model at São Paulo’s LABACE show. As the exclusive Honda Aircraft sales representative in Brazil, Lider has signed letters of intent for 30 Echelon jets, which are expected to achieve FAA type certification by 2028. The Echelon’s impressive range of 2,700 nautical miles enables nonstop travel between any two points in Brazil, a feature unmatched in its class.

Currently, Lider is thriving in the pre-owned aircraft market, with 2022 marking a record year, despite a slight decline in 2023. The company has already sold ten pre-owned aircraft this year and anticipates doubling that number by year-end. The Brazilian market for pre-owned aircraft, especially turboprops and jets, saw significant growth in 2022, being two and a half times larger than in 2019.

While Lider’s primary focus is helicopter support for the offshore oil and gas sector, the company maintains neutrality between its various business areas to avoid conflicts. Lider also offers aircraft consultation, training, and executive charter services. The company’s flight training sector includes CAE simulators tailored to Brazilian needs, with ongoing pilot training both locally and in the U.S.

At Congonhas Airport, Lider’s primary maintenance center and FBO are integral to its operations. Despite future uncertainties related to airport changes, Lider has a valid contract and is in discussions for potential relocations, ensuring continuity in its services.
