IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum in Singapore starts Jun 5

Senior officials from the commerce ministry are set to engage in a significant two-day event, the Clean Economy Investor Forum meet in Singapore, facilitated by the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF), according to an official statement. Among the attendees are Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal, Additional Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, and other high-ranking officers, already in Singapore for the event commencing on June 5.

The forum will spotlight Indian projects, with over 150 investors expected to participate, amplifying the country's presence and investment opportunities. Launched in May 2022, the IPEF includes 14 partner nations and operates across four cooperation pillars: Trade, Supply Chain, Clean Economy, and Fair Economy, positioning itself as a catalyst for resilient, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth in the Indo-Pacific region.

Managed by Invest India, the forum convenes top investors, financial institutions, companies, startups, and entrepreneurs, aiming to channel investments into sustainable infrastructure, climate technology, and renewable energy projects. The Indian Department of Commerce spearheads IPEF engagements, showcasing India's leadership in the Clean Economy domain and presenting lucrative investment avenues to global stakeholders.

The event features two tracks: climate technology and infrastructure. The climate tech track highlights innovative climate tech companies and startups across member countries, while the infrastructure track showcases investible sustainable projects in energy transition, transport and logistics, and waste management. Indian investors keen on exploring opportunities in partner countries are encouraged to participate, fostering collaboration and driving sustainable development across the Indo-Pacific region.
