Lao businesswoman Soulinda Manotham is actively seeking opportunities at the China-South Asia Expo to expand her company’s presence in the Chinese market. As the Director General of Alo Technology Laos, Soulinda aims to showcase Laos-made products and explore potential for growth in China. Alo Technology Laos is focused on digital transformation and recently launched the "Made in Laos E-Marketplace" in collaboration with the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) to facilitate the online sale of Lao products.
The 8th China-South Asia Expo, held from July 23-28 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, will serve as a platform for Soulinda and her company to present and promote Lao products. Soulinda envisions strong future prospects for Lao goods in China, noting the high quality of these products and the potential for increased exports. The expo also represents an opportunity to connect with new business partners and enhance logistical solutions to ensure Lao products can reach Chinese consumers efficiently and affordably.
China’s prominence in e-commerce and its familiarity with online shopping create an ideal environment for Lao products to enter the Chinese market. The expo will highlight sectors like green energy, modern agriculture, healthcare, culture, and tourism, offering Laos a chance to forge valuable business partnerships and showcase its products to a broader audience. The event aligns with China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which began in 2013.
