Online travel service provider MakeMyTrip Ltd announced a strategic partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) aimed at promoting Singapore as a premier destination for Indian travelers. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), spans a year and underscores both entities' commitment to enhancing travel experiences to Singapore.
As part of the partnership, STB and MakeMyTrip will execute joint activations and campaigns throughout 2024 to bolster inbound travel to Singapore. Melissa Ow, CEO of STB, expressed the objective of reinforcing Singapore's appeal among Indian consumers and tailoring offerings to suit various segments of visitors from India.
Leveraging MakeMyTrip's market insights, STB plans to craft tailored travel packages, catering to the preferences of Indian consumers. Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, highlighted Singapore's rising popularity among Indian travelers, ranking among the top three searched international destinations on their platform in the previous year.
Magow emphasized Singapore's evolving offerings, seamless travel access, and amenities tailored to Indian preferences, positioning it as an attractive destination for Indian travelers. The statement also noted India's significance as one of the top five markets for STB, with over 1 million Indian visitors to Singapore in 2023.
