Morgan Lewis Expands German Presence with Triple Partner Appointment

Morgan Lewis has further strengthened its presence in Germany with the addition of three new partners: Dr. Alexander Klett and Dr. Christoph Mikyska in Munich, and Sebastian Dexheimer in Frankfurt. Dr. Klett and Dr. Mikyska, both joining from Reed Smith, bring extensive expertise in intellectual property law, focusing on nontechnical IP litigation, and both contentious and transactional IP matters. Dr. Klett begins immediately, while Dr. Mikyska will join later. Sebastian Dexheimer arrives from Milbank on August 1, specializing in private equity and advising national and international corporations on transactions in the technology and software sectors.

This expansion reflects Morgan Lewis's commitment to enhancing its client service capabilities in Germany, a key market for the firm. The new hires will significantly boost the firm's offerings in IP law, private equity, and cross-border transactions. Firm Chair Jami McKeon emphasized that the addition of these partners will add considerable value to the firm’s European practice. The growth in Germany, particularly the establishment of a second office in Munich, underscores Morgan Lewis's strategic approach to meeting rising demand in sectors like technology, life sciences, real estate, healthcare, and media.

Dr. Florian Harder, managing partner in Munich, and Dr. Joachim Heine, managing partner in Frankfurt, expressed enthusiasm about the new partners' contributions to the firm's European operations and their ability to support complex engagements both in Germany and internationally.
