PepsiCo, Inc. has recently revealed its ambitious plans to expand its snacks production plant located in Cabo de Santo Agostino, Brazil, by a substantial 30%. This significant development marks a pivotal moment in the company's ongoing commitment to growth and innovation. The construction phase for this expansion project is already underway, and PepsiCo anticipates its completion by May 2024. Marcelo Zanetti, the Director of Operations at PepsiCo Brazil, emphasized the strategic importance of the Northeast region for PepsiCo, underscoring the company's consistent investments in the area. Over the past four years, PepsiCo has demonstrated its dedication to enhancing production capabilities by boosting capacity by more than 50%. An illustrative example of this commitment is the recent implementation of the innovative Torcida snack line.

PepsiCo's footprint in Brazil is substantial, with operations spanning eight plants across the country. The Cabo de Santo Agostino facility plays a pivotal role in PepsiCo's production network, responsible for manufacturing popular snack brands such as Cheetos, Cebolitos, Fandangos, and Torcidas.
