PhonePe and Liquid Group Expand UPI QR Payments in Singapore

PhonePe has teamed up with Liquid Group to enhance UPI QR payment services in Singapore. This new collaboration enables PhonePe users traveling to Singapore to seamlessly make payments using their app at Liquid Group’s extensive network of merchants. The partnership is supported by Liquid Group’s collaboration with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), ensuring that transactions are processed in Indian rupees.

With this initiative, Indian travelers can use UPI for payments at a variety of locations including Changi Airport, duty-free shops, restaurants, bars, and popular retailers such as The Cocoa Trees and Hard Rock Café. The UPI QR codes will be widely available at these tourist-centric spots, providing a convenient payment option for Indian tourists.

In addition to payment services, PhonePe users will benefit from the PayNow-UPI real-time remittance corridor, allowing for international money transfers without the need for sharing bank account details. This integration enhances the payment experience for Indian travelers and underscores Liquid Group’s commitment to offering seamless, cross-border financial solutions.

The collaboration marks a significant advancement in mobile payments, making it easier for Indian tourists to handle transactions and manage their finances while exploring Singapore.
