Ripple, Fenasbac Partner to Boost Brazil's Blockchain Ecosystem

Ripple and Fenasbac have announced a strategic partnership aimed at advancing fintech innovation in Brazil through the Next accelerator program. This collaboration, unveiled on July 29, 2024, focuses on leveraging blockchain technology, particularly the XRP Ledger, to enhance financial services such as treasury management, asset tokenization, payments, and lending.

Ripple, a leading enterprise blockchain and crypto solutions provider, is teaming up with Fenasbac, the National Federation of Associations of Central Bank Servers in Brazil. The partnership will sponsor two fintech startups within the Next accelerator program, which is designed to support early-stage fintech companies with mentorship, resources, and investment opportunities.

The Next accelerator program, led by Fenasbac, aims to develop scalable financial solutions using blockchain technology. Ripple’s involvement includes backing projects that utilize the XRP Ledger, a decentralized blockchain platform designed for business applications. Ripple’s Managing Director of LATAM, Silvio Pegado, expressed enthusiasm about empowering Brazilian startups to tackle real-world financial challenges through blockchain technology.

This partnership builds upon previous research collaborations with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Polkadot, exploring blockchain solutions for Brazil’s digital currency, DREX. Ripple’s focus on Brazil reflects its commitment to supporting advanced technology development and progressive blockchain policies. The establishment of a local fund to support projects using the XRP Ledger further underscores Ripple’s dedication to boosting blockchain innovation in the region.
