The Nevada Global Business Program (NVGB) embarked on a transformative journey throughout 2023, facilitating immersive learning experiences for students and faculty through a series of international trips. From the vibrant streets of Singapore to the cultural richness of Argentina, participants delved into diverse business landscapes, fostering cross-cultural understanding and global networking opportunities.
In January, the program kicked off with a visit to Singapore, renowned for its dynamic economy and multicultural environment. Participants engaged with industry leaders and explored leading companies like Marina Bay Sands and Microsoft, gaining invaluable insights into global business operations.
During Spring Break, the focus shifted to South Korea, offering a unique blend of traditional and modern business environments. Seoul's vibrant tech scene and traditional markets provided a rich backdrop for understanding the nuances of the South Korean economy.
As summer approached, students embarked on a whirlwind tour of global financial and cultural centers, including Toronto, New York, and London. Visits to stock exchanges, financial institutions, and discussions with industry experts provided practical insights into the economic prowess of these cities.
The journey continued to Turkey, where students engaged with businesses like KWORKS, gaining an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this transcontinental nation. Finally, the expedition concluded in Argentina, known for its rich cultural heritage and diverse economic sectors, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the South American market.
Throughout the program, participants not only gained practical knowledge but also forged lifelong memories and friendships. As they return to campus, they bring with them a wealth of experiences that will undoubtedly shape their future endeavors in the global business landscape.
