TechnipFMC Secures Subsea Contracts from Petrobras for Pre-Salt Fields

TechnipFMC has been awarded two significant subsea contracts by Petrobras for Brazil’s pre-salt fields, reinforcing its position in the industry. The first contract involves the design, engineering, and manufacturing of riser flexible pipe, along with associated services such as packing and storage. This substantial contract, valued between $250 million and $500 million, will be reflected in TechnipFMC's inbound orders for the third quarter of 2024.

The second contract, which was awarded following a competitive tender, focuses on the design and manufacturing of subsea production systems for the Atapu 2, Sepia 2, and Roncador projects. This significant contract, ranging from $75 million to $250 million, includes installation support, life-of-field services, and options for additional equipment.

All equipment will be manufactured locally, capitalizing on TechnipFMC's established capabilities in Brazil, which facilitates ongoing development of the pre-salt reserves. Jonathan Landes, President of Subsea at TechnipFMC, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Petrobras's strategic vision and highlighted the successful deployment of their standardized equipment platform in previous projects. This partnership reflects TechnipFMC's nearly 70-year legacy in Brazil, showcasing their dedication to the region's energy sector.
