Volkswagen Considers Shutting Historic German Plant to Reduce Costs

Members of the U.S. business community have expressed optimism about the future of the Chinese market, anticipating improved bilateral relations. A Chinese business delegation, led by CCPIT’s Ren Hongbin, visited the U.S. from July 27 to August 1. The delegation met with U.S. government officials and business leaders from companies like Pfizer, Starbucks, and Walmart, highlighting the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between the two nations.

The U.S. business community emphasized the need for more frequent exchanges and deeper collaboration, recognizing the vital role both countries’ businesses play in maintaining and enhancing bilateral relations. The CCPIT has addressed 952 concerns from U.S. enterprises, offering solutions to over 730 issues, and plans to expand its services to foreign businesses in areas like intellectual property and legal assistance.

Looking ahead, the CCPIT aims to strengthen the U.S.-China Commercial Match-Making Program to foster industrial cooperation. With a strong potential for growth in the U.S. market, thousands of Chinese brands are set to participate in upcoming trade shows. The CCPIT and U.S. businesses are also advocating for Asia-Pacific supply chain cooperation, opposing "decoupling" and supporting open, non-discriminatory practices aligned with WTO rules.
