Zurich Partners with APSN to Provide Specialized Training for Adults with Special Needs

Zurich Singapore has entered a two-year partnership with APSN (Association for Persons with Special Needs) in collaboration with the Z Zurich Foundation. This initiative aims to elevate vocational training prospects for individuals facing mild intellectual disabilities. The joint effort signifies a shared commitment between Zurich Singapore and APSN to cultivate an inclusive and nurturing environment, empowering individuals with special needs to realize their utmost potential.

This collaboration encompasses comprehensive support from Zurich Singapore and the Z Zurich Foundation, including financial aid, expertise, resources, and advocacy. These resources are intended to fortify APSN's vocational training programs and refine their skills development curriculum. The primary focus will be on the APSN Centre for Adults (CFA), a sheltered workshop tailored to empower young adults with mild intellectual disabilities through specialized vocational programs.

APSN's successful training and placement model, which has ensured trainees' consistent employment for over a year, stands to benefit significantly from Zurich and the Z Zurich Foundation's financial investment and volunteer engagement. This collaboration anticipates the expansion of APSN CFA's programs and services, catering to individuals with higher support needs, thereby positively impacting more families and trainees.

This collaboration formalizes an existing bond between Zurich Singapore and APSN, which previously centered on volunteering and fundraising activities. Zurich Singapore is dedicated to actively involving its employees in various initiatives supporting APSN, including weekly volunteering programs, philanthropic endeavors, and advocacy campaigns.
