Indian-origin companies are enthusiastic about the business prospects emerging from the five-day Singapore Airshow, which commenced on Tuesday, attracting global aviation industry stakeholders, including many from India such as Brahmos Aerospace.

The Singapore Airshow, making a robust return to a full-scale edition from February 20-25, boasts participation from over 1,000 companies representing more than 50 countries and various regions.

Brahmos Aerospace, a significant player, is engaged in discussions with several Southeast Asian nations regarding the supply of its acclaimed supersonic missiles, known for their high success rate.

Praveen Pathak, Director for Market Promotion and Exports at Brahmos, expressed optimism about leveraging the Singapore Airshow to explore promising opportunities, particularly in Southeast Asia.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the Singapore Airshow, situated in the thriving Southeast Asian region, Pathak anticipates increased engagement with regional delegates at the Brahmos display showroom.

Pathak emphasized the buoyancy in Asian markets post-pandemic, citing successful missile supplies to the Indian armed forces and an ongoing contract with the Philippines marines as indicators of promising prospects.

Meanwhile, KeepFlying, a Singapore-based Aviation AI Startup, is revolutionizing the USD 170 billion Aircraft Asset Management Industry with its groundbreaking GenAI-powered aviation data platform.

Chandrasekhar Jayaramakrishnan, Chief Product Officer at KeepFlying, highlighted the platform's ability to transform aviation data into actionable insights, thus enabling significant savings for Airlines, Lessors, and MROs.

Tarun Mathur, Senior Sales Manager for India at Topcast, foresees a substantial 30% growth in the company's Indian business by the year's end, building upon a 5.5% growth witnessed in 2023.

Topcast's Indian clientele spans civil aviation and original equipment manufacturers, with HAL, Tata Advanced, and Wipro among its prominent customers. Looking ahead, Mathur anticipates MRO Organizations to be key drivers of future business, citing the establishment of new MRO facilities in Bengaluru.

Norman Lazarus, President of Texas-based Aviva Metal, shares optimistic growth prospects in India and the global aviation and oil and gas industries.
